2Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us; we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.Ephesians 6:20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. All Christians are to be representatives of the Lord Jesus as His ambassadors. 2Corinthians 5:18-19 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us tohimself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2Cor 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. In the Bible sense reconciliation means to restore to fellowship. Christians have been given the ministry of reconciliation and we are to proclaim to a lost humanity the good news of Jesus Christ; that through Jesus, fallen mankind can be reconciled unto God. Jesus' words to Paul Act 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.We all are to be a part of this ministry according to the gifts and callings that God has placed in each of us. Not all are preachers but all have something to give to the cause. As citizens of heaven, all Christians are to represent King Jesus by our lifestyle, by word and deed. Our lives are a testimony to God's wonderful saving grace. We are to be a light to lost humanity. Matthew 5:14-16 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;Fallen humanity is in darkness. 2Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of themwhich believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
