Barbara Walters travels the globe asking religious leaders, movie stars, authors, and a mix of others, seeking an answer to these questions. The one that seemed to point to the truth the most, was an Evangelico pastor but even his answers didn't seem to point to Christ as the only way to heaven.

Apparently there are a great number of people that don't know if there is a heaven and are uninformed as how to get there. If you are a Christian then you have the blessed hope of heaven as promised by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you are not a Christian then you need Jesus Christ as your Savior or you are lost.

Please notice:

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus Christ is the only way to God.

Not Buddha, Islam, Mohammad, Hinduism, higher enlightenment, doing good works, being a better person and the list goes on and on.

Why can I make that statement? because of who Jesus Christ is, what He is, and what He alone accomplished on behalf of the human race.

If Jesus Christ is not who and what He is: then there is no God, period.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

All the religions of the world are man's attempt to reach God, but God reached down to man through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

God gave His Son and His Son died for our sins that we might be reconciled unto God.
How dare anyone say they can make it to God and heaven by any other means, it would be a slap in God's face.

Satan was defeated by Jesus Christ and all who come to Jesus Christ are delivered from Satan's grasp. Now if I were Satan I would most certainly try and keep people from the truth of Jesus Christ.

Um - what would I do? I know! I will point people away from the truth by false prophets, phony religions, human philosophies, science, atheists, etc.

2Cor. 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

If you don't believe in Jesus Christ then you don't have eternal life and God's wrath abides on you. Hell

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

1Jo 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Some one may say: I'm not very religious but I am a nice person, I do good things etc.

Are you? Have you kept God's commandments, how about just the 10 commandments?

Have you ever lied?
Have you ever stolen anything?
Have you ever taken God's name in Vain?
Have you ever committed adultery? Oh Really. How about in your heart? God looks at the heart. Please notice:

Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Have you always honored your parents?
Have you ever put other gods before almighty God? How about your car? Your job? Your hobbies? Your sport? etc

Most people if they were honest with themselves, would have to admit that:
They are a liar, a thief, a blasphemer, an adulterer, disobedient. etc. Why is this?

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

This is why we need Jesus Christ! God has made a way for us all- SINNERS- to come home to heaven. Jesus died for our sins Took our punishment and gave us His inheritance.

God had to take care of all the legal aspects and this He did, through the blood of His only begotten Son.

Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

So where is heaven and is it an actual place?

Acts 1:11   Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

1 Peter 3:22   Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Acts 7:55-56   But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56. And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

From these scriptures we see that Heaven is where God, Jesus, and angels are. Oh by the way; people will never become an angel. Angels are a distinct created being, people are of a different class of being, but this is another subject.

Rev 6:9-11 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

What Jesus told a dying man that turned to Him in faith

Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

What Apostle Paul said

Philippians 1:21-24 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.
23. For I am hard pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.
24. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.

2 Corinthians 5:6-8 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
7. For we walk by faith, not by sight.
8. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Rev 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Is there a hell?
